Work With Me

Pain can feel uncertain, overwhelming, and at times isolating. So the way we work together needs to feel clear, supportive, and structured — not rushed, not fragmented.

I offer a small number of ways to work together, depending on where you are right now.

I also work as part of the team at Better Physio Group in Soho, London. If you're based in central London and would prefer to be seen there, you can book directly through them.

Why work with a specialist

Persistent pain doesn't always respond to standard treatment, and that's not a reflection on you or on the practitioners you've already seen. It often means the picture needs a different kind of attention.

I hold an MSc in Pain: Science & Society (with Distinction) from King's College London — a postgraduate specialism in the science of pain itself, not just in physiotherapy generally. I co-authored the Graded Motor Imagery Handbook alongside Professor Lorimer Moseley and David Butler, two of the most widely recognised names in pain science internationally. And over 25 years I've taught more than 350 courses in 35+ countries to over 10,000 physiotherapists and clinicians — so much of my work has involved training other practitioners in this field, not only treating patients within it.

Many of the people I see have already tried physiotherapy, osteopathy, or other treatment without lasting change. That's usually the point at which this kind of specialist, whole-person approach becomes most useful — understanding how pain emerges from the whole system, not just the site where it's felt.

Initial Consultation

75 minutes | £225

A thorough first session to understand what's going on, what might be contributing to it, and what the right next step looks like. This includes a full history, assessment, and time to talk through what you've already tried.

Most of the people I see are dealing with complex or persistent pain, and if that's the case for you, I'll usually recommend one of the structured pathways below to give the work some shape and continuity. If what's going on is more straightforward, we'll agree on a smaller number of standalone sessions instead — there's no obligation to commit to a longer programme.

If you go on to start a pathway, your £225 is credited in full toward the pathway price — so you're not paying twice.

Recovery Pathways

Persistent pain rarely changes in a single session. It changes through understanding, experimentation, and gradual shifts over time. These pathways are designed to give you structure, continuity, and support once we've had the Initial Consultation and agreed this is the right route.

All sessions are available in-person at my Tunbridge Wells clinic or online via video consultation.

Ongoing Support

Full session (60 minutes) — £150

Deeper check-ins, progression, navigating new challenges.

Focused check-in (30 minutes) — £75

Course corrections, flare-up management, exercise adjustments.

You may notice that a general physiotherapy or osteopathy session locally costs less than a session here. That's usually because it's a different kind of appointment. A 30-minute general musculoskeletal session is a different product to a 60–75 minute specialist pain consultation, grounded in 25+ years of sub-specialist experience and postgraduate training specifically in pain science. Many of the people I see have already tried the shorter, more general route. This is usually the next step, not the first one.

I understand that finances can be a factor, particularly when pain has already affected so many parts of your life. A small number of reduced-rate spaces are available for those who need them. If this applies to you, please mention it when booking.
